Application

Main effects of octyloxamic acid in cosmetics:

1. Sterilization and bacteriostasis: It has the effect of organic acid, which destroys the cell membrane of microorganisms and makes it impossible to exchange substances; It has a chelating effect, chelating iron ions, making microorganisms unable to grow; It has the effect of short carbon chain surface activation, which is adsorbed on the cell membrane and impedes the normal function of the semipermeable membrane; Destroy the cell membrane and make the substances in the cell flow out.

2. Solubilization and solubilization: its solubilization and solubilization effect is conducive to water solubility and stability. Octyl hydroxamic acid is insoluble in itself, but it can be compounded with p-hydroxyacetophenone, phenylethanol, ethoxydiethylene glycol as a solubilizer, which can be prepared into water-soluble essence. Based on octyl hydroxamic acid, many kinds of preservative without addition can be compounded.

3. Octyl hydroxamic acid is an organic complexing agent, which can complexe the copper ion required by tyrosinase and has whitening effect.
