Application

Main efficacy of Resveratrol in cosmetics:

1. Anti-aging and oxidation

Studies have found that resveratrol can activate acetylase and increase the life span of yeast. Some studies have also shown that resveratrol can activate the silent information factor (SIRT1), causing physiological changes of delaying aging and prolonging life span, the most significant of which can be extended by 50%.

As a natural antioxidant, resveratrol has a strong scavenging effect on free radicals and anti-lipid peroxidation, and its antioxidant effect is stronger than that of traditional antioxidants such as vitamin C, butylhydroxytoluene and tocopherol.

2. Inhibition of grease formation

Resveratrol has a good adhesion ability to the skin, and can make the coarse pores shrink, make the loose skin tight, thus reducing wrinkles, and prevent the skin from secreting too much oil.

3. Whitening

Resveratrol can inhibit the effect of tyrosinase in melanocytes to achieve whitening. At the concentration of 0.5ug/ml, the inhibition of tyrosinase is 50% of that of arbutin μ The inhibitory effect is equivalent at the concentration of g/mL.

4. Treat acne

Resveratrol also has anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effects and is suitable for the treatment of skin acne. The study found that resveratrol, a natural polyphenol compound, can alleviate acne by inhibiting the key target of acne – rapamycin target protein C1, and has a good anti-acne effect in vitro. Compared with benzoyl peroxide, the most effective over-the-counter anti-acne drug, resveratrol is a more commonly used acne treatment drug because benzoyl peroxide has side effects and needs long-term use to be effective.
